Terms of Service

1. Booking & Cancellation

All charter bookings require a 50% deposit to confirm your reservation. The remaining balance is due on the day of your charter.

Cancellations made 14+ days before your charter date receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7-14 days receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable unless we can rebook your date.

Weather cancellations are determined by the Captain for safety reasons and will be fully refunded or rescheduled at your preference.

2. Safety & Liability

Your safety is our priority. All passengers must follow Captain and crew instructions at all times. Life jackets are provided and must be worn when requested by the Captain.

Barnacle Bob Charters maintains comprehensive marine liability insurance. However, participation in fishing and wildlife viewing activities is at your own risk.

We are not responsible for personal belongings, injuries resulting from failure to follow safety instructions, or conditions beyond our control including weather and marine wildlife behavior.

3. Charter Rules

• Arrive 30 minutes before departure for safety briefing
• Valid fishing licenses required for all anglers (available at marina)
• No illegal substances permitted on board
• Responsible alcohol consumption allowed for passengers 19+
• Children under 12 must be supervised at all times
• There is no smoking on the boat

4. Catch Policy

All fishing must comply with DFO (Department of Fisheries and Oceans) regulations. Size and catch limits will be strictly enforced.

Fish cleaning and packaging services are available. Your catch belongs to you, though the Captain may retain fish heads and carcasses for bait.

5. Photography & Media

We may take photos during your charter for promotional purposes. Please inform us if you prefer not to be photographed. You are welcome to take photos and videos for personal use.

6. Payment & Gratuities

We accept cash, e-transfer, and major credit cards. Prices are in Canadian dollars and include all necessary fishing gear, bait, and safety equipment.

7. Special Accommodations

Please inform us of any medical conditions, mobility concerns, or dietary restrictions when booking. We'll do our best to accommodate all passengers safely and comfortably.

8. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will be resolved through good faith negotiation. If necessary, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration under British Columbia law.
